There are numerous places that offer daily breakfast.
Daily Breakfast
Carrot Tree Kitchens serves their breakfast items daily until 11 a.m. The restaurant, which is known for their carrot cake has carrot cake pancakes. Another interesting menu item is their Bacon’s Castle waffle that has bacon in the batter!
Corner Café in New Town serves brunch items on their daily menu from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. except for Sundays when they are closed. They serve numerous crepes, but we think the most noteworthy item on the menu is their French toast, which is dipped in a Grand Marnier batter.
Five Brothers Pancake & Steakhouse serves up pancakes and other breakfast items seven days a week.
Five Forks Cafe serves breakfast Tuesday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you want that Southern diner feel, this is the best place to check out! Their menu included griddled Pennsylvania Dutch scrapple and the Big Chili Omelet that is filled with their homemade chili and cheese.
If you’re looking for a classic option, check out the National Pancake House, which is close to Busch Gardens. There are some exciting menu options including a breakfast burrito, Nutella French toast and apple pie pancakes.
Honey Butter’s Kitchen is a locally owned and operated restaurant that serves daily breakfast, but has great weekend specials such as strawberry cheesecake stuffed French toast. Breakfast is available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Old Chickahominy House has been open in James City County since 1955. They’ve served up their classic breakfast menu including the standards of ham biscuits, eggs and pancakes daily since then. Breakfast hours are 8:30-10:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30-10:15 on weekends.
Victoria’s Restaurant offers daily breakfast including country fried steak and patriotic pancakes. With a large variety of options, Victoria’s Restaurant has something for everyone.
Weekend brunch
Baker’s Crust serves up breakfast and brunch on the weekends including Friday starting at 8 a.m. Their menu includes numerous classic options as well as a variety of eggs benedicts and Jamaican French toast which is made with cinnamon bread and topped with flambéed bananas in rum, brown sugar and toasted coconut.
Bonefish Grill in New Town offers brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Two items to note on the menu are the Oscar, an omelet filled with asparagus, crab, smoked mozzarella, basil and lemon butter, and their Crème Brule French toast.
Paul’s Deli and Neighborhood Restaurant in New Town offers brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Their menu items are always changing, but include classic and unique spins on breakfast items. Sweet cream pancakes and the Big Fat Greek Breakfast both sound great.
Sunday brunch
Capriccio Ristorante offers Sunday brunch that includes classic breakfast fare such as eggs benedict and buttermilk pancakes. They also offer a build your own omelet, eggs Florentine and a Monte Cristo sandwich that is French toast, ham, provolone and strawberries. Capriccio also offers a bloody mary bar.
Center Street Grill offers Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Items include corned beef hash, a crab cake breakfast platter and three egg omelets. The Alaskan omelet sounds delicious with Alaskan smoked salmon and fresh avocados topped with sriracha aioli.
Gabriel Archer Tavern serves up brunch on Sundays from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Menu items include a quiche of the day, a tavern omelet filled with house smoked and cured bacon, asparagus and Vermont white cheddar and a breakfast BLT.
Jimmy’s Oven and Grill serves up a continental breakfast buffet on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This also includes their carving station where there is prime rib and honey glazed ham. They also offer fresh made waffles and customized omelets and eggs.
Opus 9 Steakhouse in New Town serves up a brunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sundays. Buffet includes a carving station, Belgian waffles, hot and cold items and a chocolate fondue fountain.
