Love Lives Here

Love letters made from plywood and a tire, painted, dog standing next to letters

Over the years, Virginia is for Lovers has helped create more than 200 LOVEworks around the Commonwealth to share the love. Now, the Virginia Tourism Corporation is asking you to help spread that message from home.

Create your own LOVEwork while you stay at home. It can be as simple as a chalk drawing on the sidewalk, an arrangement of springtime flowers or even a LOVE made from odds and ends lying around the house.

After you have created your masterpiece, take a picture or two and post it on social media, tag @visitvirginia and use the hashtag #LoveVA to share love with the whole world!

The “Love Lives Here” initiative brings partners, local businesses and consumers together to share an uplifting message of love while also inspiring visitation to the Commonwealth’s more than 200 LOVEworks when it is safe to travel again.

James City County encourages you to participate whether you are a local business or resident. Be creative and use things on hand like empty containers or cut out letters from cardboard boxes. Let the kids color or paint the letters.

If you would like to share your photo with James City County, please email it to tourism@jamescitycountyva.gov.
