Sweethaven Lavender Farm

Sweethaven Lavender Farm of Williamsburg (Sweethaven) will begin selling tickets for their second annual lavender festival on Friday, Feb. 14 at 8 a.m. The Sweethaven Lavender Festival Days will be on Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, June 6. Each festival day will have a different focus: adult relaxation and education and family fun in the fields.

  • Saturday, May 30 is an event designed for adults to rest, enjoy live music, indulge in scrumptious lavender foods and adult beverages, learn about lavender, take an art/craft class and shop from high-end artisans.
  • Saturday, June 6 offers something for all ages! Animals to pet, delicious lavender foods, live music, shopping from talented local artisans, exhibits to entertain and educate and wide open space to run and play.

Hours for both festival days are from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person and include a u-pick lavender bouquet. Children ages 6-12 are $5 and children 5 and under receive free admission. Child tickets do not include u-pick lavender bouquets. Tickets will be available online.

During the festival days, Sweethaven’s mercantile shop will be open with their all-natural, small-batch handmade skincare line, culinary products, dried lavender bouquets and other merchandise.

“We are thrilled to host our second annual lavender festival days and are even more excited that we anticipate our lavender fields will be in full bloom almost a month earlier this year,” said Kerry Messer, owner of Sweethaven. “We are excited to open the farm to the public for the 2020 season with our festival.”

Sweethaven is still seeking vendors for their festival days. Artisans are encouraged to apply online.

Sweethaven is located at 2301 Jolly Pond Road and opened in 2019. The farm totals more than 100 acres and is the first lavender farm in James City County.
