Applying for an Internship

James City County Internships offer the opportunity to benefit from and gain practical experience in observation and participation in the policies and practices of James City County; participate in problem solving and hands-on projects; to work closely with staff members who are responsible for various aspects of agency operations; to attend staff trainings and workshops; and visit other agencies to evaluate comparable programs. Internships are available to high school students (age 16+) and college/university students. If interested, please complete the Internship Application (PDF).
