The County is fully committed to providing eligible employees with high quality health care. Eligible employees have the option of enrolling in Cigna’s Open Access Plus (OAP) or Consumer Driven Health Plans (CDHP). Three Dental plan options are provided through Delta Dental. A Health Savings Account (HSA) allows eligible employees to set aside pre-tax dollars for medical and prescription expenses. The County contribution towards the employee HSA account is determined each budget year. Fund balances roll over each year and may be saved for retirement.
Eligible employees may elect to participate in this program allowing them to set aside pre-tax dollars for certain medical, prescription, and dependent care expenses. Up to $500 can be carried over to the following plan year.
Employees who participate in the County Health Insurance program may pay their portion of the health insurance premium before taxes are deducted.
