Toby’s Dog House is Now Open

Toby's Dog House

Toby’s Dog House is now open in the former Carrot Tree Kitchens building at 1782 Jamestown Road. The new restaurant is owned by Glenn and Debi Helseth, who also own and operate Carrot Tree Kitchens. The restaurant is named after their late Corgi, Toby and features a variety of Corgi and dog-themed décor. Toby’s Dog House specializes in unique and gourmet hot dogs and sides. They also serve barbecue, sides and desserts.

We stopped in and had a quick bite to eat a few weeks ago. The hot dog was great – Toby’s Dog House serves all beef hot dogs and tops them with different toppings. Each dog is named after a breed of dogs. We went with one of our favorite sandwiches and tried the Beagle with crumbled bacon, shredded lettuce, diced tomato and mayo. It’s a hot dog BLT!

Sample Hot Dogs

  • German shepherd: sauerkraut and brown mustard
  • French Poodle: Brie, French’s fried onions and Dijon
  • Chihauha: lettuce, salsa and French’s fried jalapenos
  • Bull dog: bbq, cole slaw and smashed potato chips

All the hot dogs are $5 or less.

Next time you are in the Jamestown Road corridor, stop by Toby’s Dog House and enjoy a hot dog with a twist.
